Inside Ann Arbor
Two semesters of high school students telling Ann Arbor’s history, in sound, video and a public exhibit. Proof that the method works without a cable channel.
Multimedia Storytelling I
Students created a soundtrack for a history tour and produced multimedia packages of Ann Arbor history for online presentation. They presented their work to the community on posters at an Ann Arbor farmers market.
Multimedia Storytelling II
Students created a local history exhibit for the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, with a soundtrack for a history tour and a history video as part of the exhibit.
Both courses were flipped: students studied online, on a course site at insideannarbor.info, and used class time for interviewing, recording and editing.
Mount Clemens had a cable studio. Community High had laptops, a museum partner and a farmers market. The method traveled anyway.
